Minimalist neutrals are the hallmark of chic. With my head-to-toe sparkle of beige, grey, and rose hues, my look is simple and sexy and is perfect for bringing in the new year! For a little added glam, I chose rose gold metallic shoes but kept the style uncomplicated by selecting a 2 strap heel.
You just can’t go wrong with all black attire and this look happens to be trending hard at the moment. There is never a wrong time to wear all black… unless you’re going to a white party. Lol. Wear it in the summer, winter, to the office, or to a holiday party! The important key here is to mix different textures and fabrics, and by doing this, you are giving your ensemble a dramatic and modern twist. My dress has a textural pattern going on, this creates added interest and helps to break up the blacks. Also, as we all know, blacks almost never match each other… and they don’t need to if you combine contrasting textures. Mixed with sheer, lace, cutout details, or tulle a head-to-toe black look is never boring and is always sophisticated. So have fun with it! Piece an all black outfit together and play around until it looks right. If something looks a little off, try something different and keep tweaking it until it comes together. There are no rules. If you look in the mirror and think it looks good, then own it.
Designers all over the runway are embracing bohemian evening silhouettes as a key trend for Resort 2015, like this color popping leopard print dress. Who would have thought animal prints would have been with us for so long? Neutral palettes as well as bold, colorful animal prints are still speaking loud and proud! This beautiful print pairs perfectly with this free flowing, floor length maxi creating an effortless Boeheim mood! Unfortunately, you can’t get this dress as it is an old style from the company I work for, Velvet by Graham and Spencer. But Michael Kors as well as a bohemian online brand called Spell, both offer gorgeous options you can buy right now! Check out my amazing shoes from Aldo…and right now, Aldo is having a great sale – 50% off sale shoes! When you wear a bohemian dress like this it is a good idea to add a high-waisted belt to break up the print a little. I love this one from Bebe, ornamented with these little tassels.
Mr. Coby Cakes is not my dog. He belongs to my boyfriends mom, but I love dogs so much and I can’t have one of my own right now, so I like to borrow him from time to time to take on my adventures! This time it was a for a photoshoot… as you can see he loves the camera!
*Please note that I do not condone the use of animals as “props” or “fashion accessories”. Owning a pet is a big responsibility and they should always be treated like a member of the family. Coby is my little buddy and I just wanted to share his cuteness with you!
The dropped crotch harem pant is a pretty bold move when it comes to fashion, so it was time for me to step out of my comfort zone. This experimental silhouette is continuing to trend hard on a global scale and I must say I absolutely love them! They are constructed with a widened waist for low-slung styling on the hips so I paired them with a lace crop top to expose my midriff. I like the texture contrast going on in my outfit between the plaid weave in the pant and the floral lace in the top. I finished my look with a chunky bold necklace. In my opinion these harem pants are chic, casual, and SEXY, making the coolest girl look even cooler!
If there was ever a cool turtleneck, this is this one. This cozy tissue turtleneck from Velvet is subtly sheer and gives off an alluring look. Finished with an asymmetrical bottom hem for modern day inspiration. Style it as a layer or standing alone for an utterly chic result. Paired with these super soft faux leather leggings and sexy leather gloves totally amps up the style level!
